The shattered windmill from the village of Chirsha (Vysokogorsky district, Republic of Tatarstan) was built around 1900s, was located on a historical site. Smock mill with four sails and two pairs of millstones. Sheathed Log construction. Unique details: lever as the sack hoist. Was used as a flour mill (flour).
|Condition||The windmill collapsed, the monument doesn't exist|
We did not know that the mill fell down and honestly searched for it in Chirsha in the spring of 2016. But a few months before that the monument had disappeared. It's a pity. It was located forty kilometers away from the big city of Kazan, and was one of the two mills of Tatarstan on a historical site (the second one remains in the village of Nizhny Karakityan). Besides, its condition was surprising: people wrote scientific articles about it, because the entire mechanism was so well preserved. You can see here or here.
