Windmill from the village of Yuxozero (museum «Malye Korely»)

Short description
The windmill from the village of Yuxozero (Onezhsky district, Arhangelsk region) was built around the end of the 19th century, was transported to the museum of wooden architecture "Malye Korely" (Arhangelsk region) in 1969. Inverted postbased mill with six sails and one pair of millstones. Log construction. Unique details: brake wheel made of solid wood. Was used as a flour mill (flour).

Though the mill has been badly preserved, it has one unique detail - a wooden "solid" brake wheel. This is the only mill with such a design of the brake wheel.

Overall, it is one of the 22 post-based mills, one of the 11 inverted ones, one of the 3 post-based mills on the racks and it is a “sister” of the windmill from the village of Germanov Pochinok of Kostromskaya Sloboda.
